A: The prices listed under each product is per bar, jar, etc unless otherwise noted. We often show multiple items in our pictures to highlight variations associated with the handmade, artisan nature of our products. Q: How soon after I place my order will it be shipped? A: Orders will be packaged and shipped in 3-5 business days from the time you order. A: This means we use premium RSPO certified palm oil, demonstrating a commitment to the preservation of the orangutan habitat impacted by conventional palm production as well as fair trade and ethical sourcing. RSPO stands for Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil. RSPO was established in 2004 to “promote the production and use of sustainable palm oil for people, the planet and prosperity.” The RSPO has become the globally recognized standard for sustainable palm oil. Sustainable palm oil is defined by the eight principles and criteria against which oil palm plantations are certified. These stringent sustainability criteria relate to social, environmental, and economic good practice. Q: What kind of ingredients do you use in your soap? A: We make soap using a method called cold process which enables us to control the ingredients in our soap. This method combines the oils and butters with sodium hydroxide (lye) and goes through a process called saponification. We use natural ingredients like coconut and palm oil (from a sustainable source), olive oil and sweet almond oil. During saponificiation, the ingredients combine and chemically change into soap, glycerin and a small amount of water. After the soap is cut into bars, it cures for 4-6 weeks and then is ready to be packaged.

My soaping journey started back in 2016 when I became interested in handcrafted products. I wanted to created my own mini spa experience at home, stealing some time for myself to relax and unwind. But, I also needed a remedy for my skin problems. I have always had very dry skin and keratosis pilaris (or chicken skin). I have tried a lot of products, both prescription and over the counter and could never find a solution. I began researching the "hard-to-pronounce" ingredients in these products I was using and became frustrated by the harsh chemicals and detergents in them. Because I had such a hard time finding anything that worked for my skin, I decided to see if handmade products could help me. I set out to try and make handmade soap and handcrafted items on my own, and The Essential Oils Soapery was born! We started The Essential Oils Soapery with several goals in mind: 1) Helping others (especially busy mom's) experience their own spa time, sneaking a few minutes to unwind and rejuvenate themselves. 2) Share custom made products hoping we are able to help those who struggle with troubled skin. **Medical Disclaimer: Our soaps and other body products are meant for you and your skin to enjoy!
